"County Rescue" on Great American Pure Flix

Many thanks to Great American Pure Flix for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

I must admit, when I first heard the name "County Rescue", my first thought was a county fair or something to that effect. How wrong I was! This new show is about EMT's experiencing the beginning of their careers and the challenges that are inevitable.

If you enjoy a good medical drama, this might be right up your alley. The first episode introduces two very new, very nervous EMT's. I admire anyone who can work as an EMT because they are on the front-line, taking care of people on (probably) one of the worst days of their lives. This is the story of an EMT unit who save lives while navigating their own life, love, and faith.

The characters face trials of faith, insecurity, and so many things that many of us face regularly.

This show will be available on Great American Pure Flix on 2/23/24, and on Great American Family on 2/26/24. Remember, everything on these platforms is clean and safe for the whole family to watch.

Let me know what you think once you have a chance to watch it! Until then, check out the trailer here.

Saved By Grace Review

Many thanks to Pure Flix for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

#SavedByGraceMIN #MomentumInfluencerNetwork

Did you ever watch the show "Touched by an Angel"? It ran in the 90's and starred Roma Downey. I used to watch it growing up. I loved Roma's accent, and the uplifting stories she told. When I watched the first two episodes of Pure Flix's show "Saved by Grace", it reminded me so much of "Touched by an Angel". It shared the theme of uplifting stories and happy endings.

"Saved by Grace" also reminded me of the Christmas movie "It's a Wonderful Life" where an angel comes and helps George Bailey realize how good his life truly is. In "Saved by Grace", two angels step in to help answer prayers and change lives for the better. I enjoyed seeing the various ways these angels interceded.

The actress who plays Grace said of the show "All the situations highlight current problems, but at the core, they are heart issues we've been dealing with since the fall, and I hope viewers realize they aren't alone in those struggles.”

Grace is probably my favorite of the characters. She has an awkward way about her, as if she's not quite sure how mortal humans actually behave. As an angel, she seems a little aloof and goofy but is still able to get the job done and help those she was sent to help.

I love that the episodes are just over 30 minutes. It's the perfect length to turn on while folding a load of laundry or just sitting down to rest. It's a clean show that all ages can enjoy.

Let me know what you think if you watch it!

Pure Flix's "Nothing is Impossible" review

Many thanks to Pure Flix for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

I have been very impressed with Pure Flix and their ability to release new movies regularly. Even if I watched Pure Flix daily, I don't think I could catch up and watch everything there is to watch. One of the latest movies to be released is "Nothing is Impossible" starring David A.R. White. If you, or someone in your family, loves sports, then definitely check out this movie.

This is the tale of a former basketball player. When given the chance, Scott Beck (played by White) risks it all to attain the dream he's held onto for 20 years.

As far as watching this with your family, I think young children might be a bit bored. This film felt like it was geared more towards adults. My teenage boys might say it's too mushy, but the sports aspect of this movie might be enough to keep them engaged.

If you're wanting an uplifting movie without worrying about swearing or indecency, please give this one a try. You can check out the trailer here. Or, just log in to Pure Flix to watch it.

Thanks for reading and stopping by!

"Legacy Peak" on Pure Flix (Review)

Many thanks to Pure Flix for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opin ions are 100% my own.

A new movie is available on Pure Flix and it fits perfectly with the theme I've noticed of clean, quality shows the whole family can watch together.

In Legacy Peak, Jason is trying to woo Noelle, and win over her kids. Their story is a journey of coming to understand each other and learning how to communicate and trust. It's a story of the intricacies of blending families and working through pain and loss.

I think out of all the movies I've seen on Pure Flix, this has been my favorite. There were definitely cheesy moments, and some highly unlikely events that bothered me a bit. However, I appreciate the skills of the actors and film crew in putting this film together. I also appreciated Jason's southern accent...made me feel right at home :).

"Legacy Peak" released on September 22 and can be viewed on Pure Flix. You can see the trailer here.

Let me know what you think when you watch this movie!

The Restoration Series: Jonathon's Walk

Disclosure (in accordance with the FTC’s 16 CFR, Part 255:  “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising”):  Many thanks to Propeller Consulting, LLC for providing this prize for the giveaway.  Choice of winners and opinions are 100% my own and NOT influenced by monetary compensation.  I did receive a sample of the product in exchange for this review and post.

Do you have a connection with someone in prison? I imagine, whether we realize it or not, we all know someone who is in or who has been in prison. My great uncle was in prison...though I don't know any other details than that. The closest I have ever come to prison was when we sent our dog to the local prison for their dog training program. When I went to pick our dog up, I had to walk through several gates with razor wire, and check in. I watched as the prisoner who trained our dog showed us his new tricks. The program they have there rehabilitates dogs from shelters so they can be adopted and also trains dogs for families. Through this program, I came to have a slightly better appreciation for the men and women who do this program...who spend their days making the lives of those dogs better.

Jonathon's Walk is a series that goes live today. It shows us how he has spent 15 years in prison from a mistake made at age 18. Through the series, we see how his family has had to carry on without him, and how they will have to reintegrate as a family after being apart for so long. The odds are stacked against him because over half of America's prisoners who get released end up back in prison. He has gone through a program called The Academy to help him reintegrate into life outside of prison walls.

The Restoration Series: Jonathon's Walk is a five part documentary. If you would like to watch this series or send the link to someone that might be touched by it, check it out and sign up to watch it at this link. Let me know what you think in the comments below!

"Indivisible" coming to theaters October 26

Disclosure: I was given the chance to see an advanced screening, and received ticket codes for a giveaway. All opinions expressed are my own.

"Indivisible" in theaters October 26 #giveawayThere's such a variety of movies available in theaters right now...something for everyone I suppose. If you are looking for a wholesome, clean, moving movie, I highly recommend going to see Indivisible.

This film, starring Sarah Drew, Justin Bruening, Jason George, Tia Mowry, and Madeline Carroll, addresses some hard issues that many military families struggle with. For those of us who aren't military families, it's hard to imagine what these individuals deal with during, and after deployments. I truly appreciate the honesty and openness of this film.

Indivisible is based on the true story of
Army Chaplain Darren Turner and his wife Heather. During the film, we see how Darren and Heather use their talents to bless others, but then struggle in their own marriage.

This is a movie of faith, endurance, and love. If you would like to win tickets to see this movie in theaters, please watch the trailer linked here and enter the Rafflecopter giveaway below.

Help Little Ones Feel Better with ClearPop (Giveaway! Ends 4/10/17)

Growing up I was one of those kids who had regular ear infections. I think I had at least one each winter and it was debilitating! One year I slept through my brother's birthday party due to an ear infection. When my family went to Australia, I spent a good portion of the trip in pain from an ear infection. Apparently I never really outgrew them, because I even had one two years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter! Needless to say, I am well aware of the pain, discomfort and overall misery that ear infections inflict on kids.

Thankfully, my kids have never been prone to ear infections...they've had maybe one or two in my 10 years of parenting. But, if they ever do have one (or if I have another!), I know exactly what I will be reaching for to ease their pain...ClearPop! I can't even express how much I wish these had been around when I was little.

Help Baby Faster with NeilMed Naspira Aspirator

Disclosure: I received products from Moms Meet in exchange for this post. All opinions expressed are my own.

My daughter is almost two, and she has been very blessed to rarely be sick. My 7 year old always had a stuffy nose and I remember frequently having to suction his nose out so he could have a little bit of relief. When I first heard about aspirators that use suction from someone's mouth, I was honestly grossed out, but I've heard so many moms say how much they love these products, so I was excited to try out the NeilMed Naspira Aspirator!

Take Care of Your Loved Ones with Cardinal Health

Cardinal Health sent me this product to try, and donated to a charity of my choice.

A few years ago, my oldest (K) had a tonsillectomy. I hired a sitter to sit with my younger son at home, so I could wait at the hospital without worrying or chasing him. It was a routine procedure and everything went well. When I was able to see K, he was groggy and grumpy, and would not let me leave his side. I had to sit in the wheelchair and hold him on my lap so the nurse could wheel us to the exit because he would not let me go! He was miserable from the pain and discomfort.

"Finding Noah"

Many thanks to Propeller Consulting, LLC for providing this prize for the review.  I did receive a sample of the product in exchange for this review and post.

In college, anthropology was one of my favorite subjects. I love learning about people, cultures and traditions. This is why I knew when I was given the chance to watch the film "Finding Noah" that I would enjoy it. I thought about watching this film with my boys, but in the end, I was glad that I chose to watch it on a quiet day while the boys were at school and while baby was napping.
Finding Noah

This film is a documentary about a group who has studied Noah's ark extensively and travels to Mt Ararat to try to find the ark. The history and cultural beliefs of the ark from around the world were fascinating and I enjoyed watching the story unfold of the climb and techniques used to try to locate the ark.

I love the stories in the Bible, and I appreciate that this film teaches about the many different world cultures that believe in a Noah story...it's amazing how many things we share with others around the world! This is a faith-based film, recommended for ages 12+. I don't think my kids (ages 8, 6 & 1) would have enjoyed this film because it is a documentary and it would not have engaged them. However, if you have the chance to go see FINDING NOAH, I think it would be worth your while. It is a little slow at first, but by the end, it was suspenseful and I wanted to see more.

The film is 116 minutes long and you can buy tickets here. It will only be in theaters on October 8th!

Ties That Bind book review

Disclosure: I was provided a copy of this book for the purposes of this review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I love reading Amish fiction! I love the escape from my regular life into the world of the Amish, and I love to read more about their culture. The book Ties That Bind was no exception. I truly enjoyed reading about the Brenneman family, and appreciated that this book looked at the story from the many different perspectives of various family members.

I felt that this book was a little different from a lot of Amish fiction because the author, Cindy Woodsmall, wrote about some of the failings of the Amish culture, and how members of their communities deal with those problems. It made me reflect as the reader how my family/community relate, and the issues we might have. I also felt that I could relate to the main character Ariana in her struggle to stay true to her Amish upbringing, but to try to bridge her world with the Englisch.

I do hate it when a book leaves the reader hanging, and this book did that to me! I was so mad at the end because everything was so unresolved. I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out so I can find out what happens to the characters.

All in all, I loved this book. It was well written and kept me engaged from the beginning. I can't wait to read the rest of the story!

Dial for Baby & Kids!

Disclosure: I received products for the purposes of this review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Dial Kids Foaming Hand Wash giveaway (ends 5/1/15)
As many of you know, I have 2 boys. They are now 6 & 8 and I still struggle with getting them to wash their hands! It must be a boy thing...this need to be constantly dirty. When I tell them to wash their hands, I remind them to say their "ABC's" and to get bubbles all over their hands. I was excited to try the new Dial Kids Foaming Hand Wash because anything that can make handwashing more fun - and thus more likely to happen - is a winner in my book! My 6 year old is the one I struggle with the most and when he got home from school and tried this soap for the first time, he was very excited.

Dial Miracle Oil Hand Soap Review

Disclosure: I received products from the sponsor for the purpose of this review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Dial Miracle Oil Hand SoapIt always amazes me when I walk down the soap aisles at the store to see how many different kinds of soap there are...from liquid, to foaming. Plus, there are always new scents and textures to try! Dial is apparently huge on having a variety of soaps to meet different needs and I got to try out the new Dial Miracle Oil Hand Soap, which is infused with Marula Oil.

I honestly wasn't sure if I would have much to say about this soap...how much is there to say about hand soap that hasn't already been said?! But, I have been happy with this soap so far. One day after gardening, my hands felt especially tired and raw. When I went to wash my hands, I found this soap to be very soothing and refreshing for my tired hands. I could feel the oiliness in it, but it still lathered up nicely and got all of the dirt off of my hands. Plus, my hands haven't felt dry after using it.

So, all-in-all, this is a deep cleansing hand soap, and it works. :)

SuperPretzel Bavarin Rolls review

Disclosure: I received products for the purpose of this review. All opinions expressed are my own.

There is nothing like the taste of a pretzel...whether it's simply salted, or sweetened with cinnamon and sugar. They are a great snack, and SuperPretzel has made it easy to enjoy pretzels at home. Their pretzels can be heated in the microwave or oven with minimal mess and effort.

My husband and I were able to enjoy the new Bavarian Rolls and Bavarian Sticks as our late night treat after our kiddos were in bed. They were perfect to heat up quickly before we sat down to enjoy a show together. I really enjoyed how soft and flavorful these pretzels were.

We also tried the rolls as a sandwich with beef and cheese in them. While I thought the pretzel flavor was a little overwhelming in the sandwich, I did enjoy the taste. It was a change from the usual bread sandwiches, and very convenient. These would be perfect to serve as appetizers at a party, or for family movie night.

You can find SuperPretzel's Bavarian Pretzel Rolls and Pretzel Sticks in the freezer section of your local grocery store. (Find SuperPretzel on Facebook too!)

Sharing the Holidays with Febreze

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/Febreze. I received products and compensation for this post. All opinions expressed are my own.

This will be my baby girl's first Christmas and I am so excited! I can't wait to see all three of my children during the holidays. There are so many wonderful things to look forward to from winter/Christmas crafts to the Christmas parade in our town. This year I just want to soak it all up, because time only seems to be going faster and I don't want to miss the wonder and awe in each of my children's faces.

Snuggle your little ones with Huggies

I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Huggies & Target. I received samples for this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

Prior to July, my husband and I had been out of the diaper game for a few years. It was a lovely break, and now that I am back into full-on diaper mode with our daughter, it's nice to feel a bit more experienced this time around. With my oldest, I used to have to take his socks off at each diaper change because he would inevitably kick the dirty diaper and require new socks as well. Now, I feel confident in leaving baby girl's socks on throughout the diaper change without her kicking the dirty diaper.

Celebrate fall with Febreze

Disclosure: This is a sponosred post for SheSpeaks/Febreze. All opinions expressed are my own.

Yesterday it was in the mid 90's with a heat index of 105 degrees...way too hot for September! Thankfully, I think we have seen the last of those temperatures and today is supposed to be in the 70's. I love fall; the crunch of leaves under my feet, the sweet smells of pumpkins and cinnamon, the perfect weather for sweaters and hot cocoa.
