Kidoodle.TV entertains kids safely

I participated in a Blogger Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Kidoodle.TV. I received a promotional item and a free trial as a thank you for participating.

We just bought a TV for the first time in our 7+ years of marriage and so far we are really enjoying it, though we still don’t have cable or satellite. We rely on internet streaming for any shows we want to watch and so far it has proved to be fairly reliable and very affordable!

One of the things that worry me about relying on the internet so much is that my kids have easier access to things I don’t want them seeing online. Most internet streaming sites have options for kids but it’s so easy to click over to something that is to violent or vulgar for kids to be watching. So far we haven’t had any problems, but it’s definitely on my mind as an issue that could come up at any time.

This is why I have really appreciated Kidoodle.TV! Kidoodle.TV is designed for kids ages 12 and under. The site is easy for parents and kids to navigate and once you sign up, you can create separate, specific profiles for each of your children according to their age and what you do/don’t want them to watch. Even after the profile is automatically set up, you can go in and select or unselect any of the shows listed. There is no advertising or commercials.

So far, my boys have loved using Kidoodle.TV. Their favorite show available is Rescue Heroes. I couldn’t get it to work on our iPad until today, but on the iPad it has a timer and looks super easy for everyone to use.

Right now, you can try it for free (through the end of the year), and if you sign up now, you can enter to win one of ten tablets or one of ten Kidoodle.TV year-long subscriptions! Go to the website, sign up for a free trial, and follow the on-screen directions to enter the giveaway. You can also find Kidoodle.TV on Twitter and Facebook.
