Toddler Craft: Turkey

My husband loves to encourage our 2 year old to say "gobble gobble" whenever I call her a turkey (which tends to happen a lot). It's so darn cute, and often puts me in a better mood, because a toddler saying "gobble gobble" is just about the cutest thing in the world. So, a turkey craft is perfect for any little turkey in your life!

All you need is: construction paper, glue, scissors, and googly eyes.

Just cut out some feathers, a body, head/neck, a beak, and some feet.

For my daughter, it worked better to have me spread glue and have her place the pieces. We started with the circle body, and then added feathers. As long as I told her to make the feather touch the circle, she did a good job of putting them in the right area. For older kids, you could have them make a pattern out of the feathers.

Once the feather were on, we added the head/neck, beak, feet, and eyes. I used a glue stick for everything except the googly eyes.

Now her little turkey hangs with pride on our fridge and she proudly tells anyone who will listen about her turkey :). Now to start planning for Thanksgiving which is only a week away!
