Hand Print Snowman Ornament

I've seen the ornaments that have children's hand prints turned into snowmen for years and just barely made a hand print snowman ornament with my 2 year old. I love it!

I adore hand print crafts and this is another perfect way to preserve how little she was this year. I found some green and red ornaments at a garage sale for 50 cents and chose to use a green one for this craft. I painted my daughter's hand white (except for her thumb), and had her wrap her hand around the bottom of the ornament so her fingers came up higher than her palm (it was slightly slanted, so her snowmen were just built on a hill!). Then I made sure to wipe her hand off immediately before she could paint anything else ;).

Once that was dry, I used a toothpick to paint the buttons, face and nose, then I added some top hats on each little snowman.

Make sure to put your child's initial and the year somewhere on the ornament so you never forget :). Then hang it on the tree to admire.

Thank you Little Bit Funky for the wonderful craft.
