Kool-Aid Easter Eggs

Last year we decided to try something new with our Easter eggs…dying them in Kool-Aid. I loved how vibrant they turned out and our kitchen smelled pretty amazing!P1030451P1030432P1030443

After boiling the eggs, we had our boys draw on the eggs with white crayons to give the eggs a fun design and then we let the eggs soak in the Kool-Aid mixture- add the Kool-Aid packet to 2/3 cup of water and stir. Super simple and lots of fun for everyone! :) The flavors we used were Peach Mango, Berry Blue, Cherry, Lemon-Lime and Strawberry.

Just so you know, if you get the eggs wet again (condensation, etc) the color can rub off so make sure to protect your favorite shirt.
Happy Easter!

Thanks Hey Jen Renee for the fun idea.

  1. I like this idea so much more than using dye. Seems like it would be cheaper too!
