Time Island Review

If you are looking for a way to keep kids entertained until school starts or even during the school year, while still providing educational opportunities, check out Time Island!

Time Island is an online game where your child has to gather supplies and food for their character, while avoiding green Goggs and bathing regularly. Your child will put their skills to the test as they wander the island looking for necessities and playing educational games to improve their skills and earn the things they need to survive.

I had my 4 year old try it after I had played for a while and frankly, I got bored and frustrated. From what I’ve seen in other reviews, older children do really well at this game…I just don’t have the patience to sit and wait for my character to walk everywhere and to try to find what I need to survive hidden in the jungle or on the beach. My 4 year old got frustrated as well, though I think this game is beyond his skill level, especially because he can’t read yet so I had to sit and explain everything to him.

Time Island is meant for children ages 6-10 who can read and I do think it could be a lot of fun for those children in that age range. Some of the games were fun (once I found them) and I am slowly starting to understand the game a bit better. Characters can interact with other children online and the site is constantly monitored to prevent profanity or inappropriate usage of the site so that you child is protected.

If you would like to try it out, please visit here to sign up!

I was able to try out Time Island and received a pack of Time Island related goodies thanks to MomSelect. I was not compensated in any way for this post and all opinions expressed herein are mine.

  1. Judy it's so hard to find age appropriate online games for kids. I do like that this site is always monitoring though. What a reassuring thought. To bad it was beyond your little guys skill level :( Little Bit really likes the games here, http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=30&e=gameslanding. They might have something fun for your guy :D
