Fall is one of the funnest times to do crafts with kids...the possibilities are endless! Have your kids make a Five Little Thumbkin craft, and the plus side is that it's so easy to customize to your kids' age and ability level.

Reclaimed wood "Hello Pumpkin" sign
Our neighbor recently replaced their wooden fence with a stone one, so now I have all of this old wood to try out projects with. One of my favorite lately is this reclaimed wood "Hello Pumpkin" sign that I made:
I free-handed a pumpkin on the wood and used a jig saw to cut it out.
Part of the wood had started to split so I reinforced it on the back with a thin piece of wood. I used a scrap of wood and screwed it on the back for the stem. I lightly sanded the pieces of wood, but wanted some of the grooves/ridges for character.
I painted the pumpkin orange, then added dark orange and light orange.
Then I free-handed the letters "hello pumpkin".
I sprayed the whole thing with clear spray paint to protect it and stapled rope to the back to hang it up.
Voila!
Thank you to this pin and this pin for inspiration! I'm linking up to What I Made Monday, Domestically Speaking, All About Home Link Party, Project Inspired Link Party,

5 Little Pumpkins Craft
My daughter fell in love with the book "5 Little Pumpkins" and asked me to read it to her again...and again...and again! So, I knew that this 5 Little Pumpkins Crafts would be perfect for her.
All you need is: construction paper (black, orange, brown, yellow), or craft foam, Popsicle sticks, glue sticks, and a toddler to help :).

Easy Fall Decor: Pumpkins
I love decor that is easy, affordable and versatile. These pumpkins are made from construction paper and chenille stems! Plus they're easy to make, and kids can make them with you.
Another bonus is that they work for the entire fall season.
Thank you Apartment Therapy for the cute idea and instructions. I linked up to Tip Me Tuesday at Tip Junkie.

Pumpkin Carving Tip
If you're carving pumpkins in the near future, be sure to pull out your ice cream scoop! Ours worked perfectly to pull the string goop away from the pumpkin when I was cooking one last year and I'm sure it will work perfectly for carving jack-o-lanterns too!
