Crochet Amigurumi Gnome Ornament (free pattern)

I'm just entering the world of designing my own crochet creations after relying solely on patterns for a while. Last Christmas I made these gnome ornaments for my family and love how they turned out!

Here's the pattern written in American crochet terms. This is a great pattern for leftover skeins of yarn and doesn't require specific weights or hook sizes...I just use my favorite H hook and it worked well for my gnomes in various yarn weights.

Crochet Winter Hat

I have fallen in love with these winter hats with ear flaps! They are the only hats my 18 month old will leave on and I love that I can tie the strings under her chin to make sure she stays warm when we're out and about...

I used the 9 month pattern from Alli Crafts since my daughter is still super tiny, and I added a flower which I learned how to make from Crochet Rochelle. These hats make wonderful gifts, and they stretch well to fit baby's head for quite a while!

Crocheted Grocery Bag (from Grocery Bags!)

After I saw CassieMarie’s crocheted grocery bag pattern, I knew I wanted to try it. But, I didn’t want to waste yarn in case I couldn’t figure the pattern out since I just started learning how to crochet. So, I decided to make it out of plastic grocery bags…and this is how it turned out:

Honestly, I felt a little silly making a bag out of bags, but I seriously wanted to see if I could do it and I’m pretty pleased with the results. I think this would make a great beach bag!
