Fuel Your Kids with Pirate's Booty

Pirates Booty Aged White Cheddar snack Summer is flying by here! We are well over half way through and I am not looking forward to school starting. I love the carefree, low-stress pace of summer, and I enjoy having all my kids home. I admit, there are days it drives me nuts, and I will not miss the summer heat (or the bugs!) once fall comes, but I do truly love this time with my kids.

One aspect of summer that I struggle with is making lunch creative. I love routines, but my kids get bored of the same treats/snacks/meals. Somehow, PB&J sandwiches (which are normally fine for sack lunches at school) don't fly quite as well when we're all eating at home. I'm frequently trying new lunch add-ons and new snacks to get us through the day. We do a lot of crackers!

Until recently, I had never heard of Pirate's Booty...at least as a snack :). Pirates Booty® is a delicious baked snack made from puffed rice and corn, and blended with white cheddar cheese. It is also:
  • Gluten free
  • Made without artificial colors, flavors and preservatives
  • Available in a 6 pack of 1 oz lunch bags
Before I know it, my boys will be back in school, and I think they would enjoy finding this snack in their lunches occasionally! If you're looking for a way to liven up lunches at home, snack time, or sack lunches once school starts, look into Pirate's Booty. Though, this sounds like a snack I would enjoy for myself too :).

What sorts of snacks do you enjoy serving your kids?
