Sidewalk Paint

Since our cornstarch is past it’s expiration date…by almost a year (!) I decided it was a perfect time to make sidewalk paint. DSCN5360
I was so impressed with how well the paint worked, and when it dried it looked just like sidewalk chalk. My boys had a blast and after the rain came that night, everything was clean again :)
All you need is:
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Food coloring
Mix it all together and hand your kiddos paint brushes you don’t mind getting a bit messed up. DSCN5352
Thank you Pumpkin Patch for the inspiration last year, and eHow for the “recipe” when I couldn’t find Pumpkin Patch’s original post :).

I’m linking up to Tot Tuesday, Kids Get Crafty, and Preschool Corner Friday.
