Diapering Sports

My kids are too young for sports. I know, there are plenty of 3 year olds in soccer, or even football, but I feel like we are running full out marathons daily. The biggest sport in our house that is giving my laundry pair of machines a workout? Diapering!

Oh yes, you nay-sayers! Diapering is a sport. There is strategic planning involved in how full you can stuff a diaper bag for outings, to rushing back and forth from the changing table, to dancing up and down to keep baby entertained during changes, and etc.

Any parent of young children will probably agree that there are days when diaper changes can be an all-out work-out beginning from day one where little baby boy sprays everything in a diameter of 5 feet, to solid food days, and onward through potty training.

Cloth diapers are no exception. We cloth diaper about 80% of the time, which means my washer and dryer are getting in on the work outs! Thankfully my appliances aren’t just any kind of appliance and seem to be up to the challenge. They never leave me with a stinky diaper. Stains are gone from clothing (when my disposable diapers leak), and the marathon continues from day to day!
