Miracle at Manchester

Many thanks to Pure Flix for providing a sample of this product for my review. Opinions are 100% my own.

In a world so full of anger and hatred, I love learning about communities that come together to build up and support those who are struggling…whether it’s through financial hardship, health problems, etc. Such shows of compassion are refreshing and give hope to others who are suffering. These instances remind us of the good that is still around us, and inspire us to try to be better.

So often we feel helpless when we learn of others’ struggles. For many of those struggles, we lack the empathy to truly understand what they need, so we hesitate to reach out for fear of saying or doing something that will make it worse or offend someone. We often forget that the small acts of kindness can make big impacts.

In the new movie Miracle at Manchester, one of the main characters suddenly finds his world turned upside down when he is diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. All of his hopes for a future of athletics and growing up are questioned. His father experiences many of the same emotions I imagine any parent would feel if they had to watch their child deal with cancer.

Of course, with any Pure Flix film, there is a theme of hope and healing. In this movie, the community comes together to unite in prayer and support this family. If your family has a love of sports, this might be a movie that draws you in. If you are able to watch it, please let me know what you think!

You can watch Miracle at Manchester on Pure Flix now (it just came out March 31, 2023). Pure Flix is regularly releasing new movies and shows so that you never run out of clean, wholesome family entertainment.
