"I'm Going to Give You a Bear Hug!" book review

If you are looking for another book to add to your children's library, the book "I'm Going to Give You a Bear Hug!" (written by Caroline B. Cooney and illustrated by Tim Warnes) would be a perfect fit. The pictures tell a story of the nightly going-to-bed ritual, while the text is cute rhymes of all the different animal hugs one can give.

I loved the cadence, and the ease of reading this book. The rhymes felt natural, and this book was just fun to read to my 2 year old. The illustrations are beautifully done, and I look forward to reading this book for years to come.

This is a simple book full of expressions of the love we feel for our little ones, and provides opportunities to talk about different animals or about your own rituals for going-to-bed at home. It would be fun to have your child act out the different kinds of hugs too :). All in all, I give this book 5 stars...it's just a great book!
