Kawaii Cloth Diapers Review

Disclosure: I received diapers for the purpose of this review. All opinions expressed are my own.

With my second son, I started cloth diapering him when he was 1 year old. I loved that I was saving our family some money during law school and had a system down that worked for me. I used prefolds and plastic covers which were the least expensive option for us at the time. When I found out that we were expecting again, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to cloth diaper her or not.

When I was introduced to Kawaii cloth diapers, my attitude changed a bit…their diapers are so adorable and I love that they are adjustable in size. They sent me two diapers to review… a Red Pink Stripes Little Green Baby Bamboo, and a Mom Label Minky Bamboo Charcoal.

Each diaper came with two inserts (one is more absorbent for night), and washing instructions.

The Red Pink Stripes diaper is adorable…I love the colors and it’s fun to have a “girly” diaper for my little one to wear. It has a velcro closure at the top and snaps to adjust the size of the diaper. According to the website, this diaper will fit from 6-22 pounds.
The Minky Bamboo diaper is extremely soft on the inside and outside. I was utterly shocked at how soft the waterproof cover is! This diaper will fit my baby girl from birth until she is 36 pounds…clear through potty training!

On the website, customers can view instructions and care information for the diapers and other issues that might arise such as diaper rash. I am excited to use these diapers on my little girl and am sure I will have plenty to learn through this experience, but so far I have not felt overwhelmed and like the fact that I am helping the environment as well as our finances each time I use these diapers.

I think my only concern with these diapers is how bulky they are on such a tiny baby; though with a girl, I can put her in a dress without having to worry if the diaper is going to stretch out her pants/onesies. I have used both of these on my baby girl and while they are HUGE on her, I have been very impressed with how well the leg openings fit her skinny little thighs.

Have you used cloth diapers? What was your experience?
