Hair Wrap

My husband’s going to go bonkers because I’m posting this before Thanksgiving, but if you’re trying to think of practical, easy to make gifts for Christmas, you really do need to get started now, if not sooner :).

Hair wraps are great for just after a shower! Using a regular towel is bulky and I feel like my head is lopsided. I have an old towel that I use which is light and works for me, but when I visit my parents, they only have huge towels that drive me nuts.

I thought my mom might enjoy a nice hair wrap for Christmas and whipped one up in about half an hour using the fantastic tutorial at Skip to My Lou. All you need is a towel, sewing machine and elastic. Really! The only thing I would change from her tutorial is not making the wrap so deep, maybe cut two or so inches off…though my head may just be misshapen…DSCN4399

If you want a fun variation on the hair wrap, try The Creative Maven’s wrap which require a button, elastic, a towel/terry cloth and a cotton print.

  1. I thought I had made it clear that pre-turkey christmas things were ok in the name of blogging, so long as I don't have to look at/listen to them all around the house before I eat the bird....
