Lego Scale

Legos were a staple for us this summer...my boys played with them daily, and while they usually entertained themselves, sometimes I had to give them a "project" to build. One day we all worked together to make a scale:

At first my boys were insisting that we don't have the right Lego pieces, but we discovered that with creativity, you can build anything you want.

My boys had so much fun comparing the weight of different objects that they found in their room! In this picture it was a toy soldier vs. a crayon. Other objects we weighed were playing cards, Shopkins, Lego minifigures, pipe cleaners and marbles. I had my boys guess before they put the objects in which would be heavier and they were often quite surprised by the results.

Thank you Frugal Fun 4 Boys for the fun idea! I’ll be linking up to Making Your Home Sing Sunday, Clever Chicks Blog Hop, Best Mom Advice,
